From there, we will email you an online form to complete with the required family information for legal purposes. We will also email you documents to sign (which can be signed on a phone, tablet, or computer). You will then be advised of the date the cremation takes place. 

The ashes return to you, and we arrange for the original death certificate and JP-authorised copies.

Yes, Simple Cremations Brisbane is a real funeral company based in Brisbane. Our family does not need to subcontract to other funeral companies, and your loved one is kept in our care while we make arrangements.

Although funeral directing is a business, different funeral companies have different views on how much money is appropriate for profit. In Australia, many funeral homes are now owned by one American-owned company, a publicly listed corporation, or corporate-based legal and I.T. businesses.

We focus on our family service and reducing operational overheads so we can focus on the care we provide to you and the safe care of the loved one who has passed.

Although this service is strictly for unattended cremations, we are part of a larger family funeral home and through our sister company we can arrange and conduct all forms of services including burials. Once we have all the details and paperwork that we need, the person who has passed away will be transferred into our own mortuary facility in Brisbane and they will be cared for there until the cremation takes place in Brisbane.

Once all arrangements are complete and the cremation has taken place, we will collect the ashes on your behalf and keep them under lock and key until you are ready to collect them from us. There is no rush to collect ashes and we are happy to hold them for up to 2 years.

Yes. We are a fully functional funeral business and have facilities for you to dress and/or view and spend time with the person who has died. Because we have established a stripped down service with our package prices, there may be additional fees to apply however, we will disclose any additional fees with you before you authorise our care and professional service.

If you have suffered an immediate loss that was not expected, was sudden or due to an accident, it is important to contact emergency services such as ambulance and police. They will advise and direct accordingly. If required, the person who has died may need to be taken to the facility of the corner for cause of death determination. Although traumatic, this usually only adds a number of days to the process and you are still able to choose the funeral director of your choice.

There are many very good, caring and genuine funeral directors available in Brisbane. Ultimately it is a balance between trust and value, cost and care.
