When Someone Dies.
The first thing to focus on is that in most cases, there is no rush. Don't feel pressured for time and look after yourself and your family. This is a hard time. If your loved one has passed at home, then call the care team, nurses or doctors. If this is an unexpected passing, call the police or an ambulance and they will assist from there. When you are ready, make your first call to us so that we can begin the process for you.
Calling Us.
When you are ready, phone us, email us, or fill out the information in the Arrange Now section. We can complete all the relevant documents in whatever way best suits you. They can be completed on the phone, or a combination of phone and email. All legal information, family information, dates, names and addresses, will always be checked with you before any finalisation happens. We will also arrange to have your loved one brought into our care ready for the cremation. Once we have the information we need, we will obtain the legally required permissions and we will make a day and time with the crematorium.
After the Cremation.
A direct cremation is a cremation without a service however, your loved one is always transferred and handled with the utmost respect and honour. We will advise you of when the cremation takes place should you wish to have some family time, or a prayer at the time. Following the cremation, we will arrange for the legal and original death certificate for you, with copies, and we will hold your loved one's ashes until you are ready to take possession of them -
for up to 2 years if need be.
